The state food of South Carolina is grits. And few people know more about grits, and the art of milling, than Greg Johnsman and his family.
In 2007, the Johnsmans started milling grits to supplement their farm income using antique equipment.
Now, Geechie Boy Mill is creating grits used in the country’s finest restaurants, including James Beard award-winning chefs in nearby Charleston and around the nation.
